I grew up in Michigan, studied art in California, and married an anthropologist with a yen for world travel. It's a good match because we are both compelled to document the curiosities of human behavior. I'm definitely the moody one, though.
I fell in love with paint in my early 20s, and have been gamely fumbling ever since. Somewhere along the way, I discovered a knack for portraiture, which has become my career. I'm still trying my damndest to get better at abstraction, however, and am angling toward the pefect blend of the two.
We have a son and a daughter, and currently live in Oxford, England.
